The hosts, Alison and Grant, were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the room was cozy and well-equipped, perfect for a relaxing stay. the homemade breakfast served was a true highlight, with delicious jams and fresh fruits from the garden. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views from the outdoor dining area.
One thing to note is that the sound from within the house could be heard in the room, but it wasn't a major issue and just added to the homely feel of the place.

loved how the double room with bathroom was arranged when we arrived. the hotel was in a marvellous location really close to a working farm away from traffic, and a beautiful hilltop. it also was prepared to drive 20 minutes to gore to find a restaurant.

Convenient location for visiting Invercargill, it's very close to Southland, a working farm and Invercargill. The hotel offers a huge variety of food that was savoury.

The room was spotless, with smoke detectors and astonishing views of the garden and countryside. The room had a personal safe, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator. The staff was excellent, nothing to complain about. The free parking was on site, excellent service. Got wake up service free of charge, not bad too...

We had such a fantastic time at Southland Organic Farmstay. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed chatting with them. The highlight of our stay was being able to witness the sheep shearing on the farm. It was a unique experience that we won't forget. The location of the farmstay was perfect, offering a true taste of the New Zealand countryside with its quiet and peaceful surroundings. Plus, the dark skies at night were absolutely breathtaking. we highly recommend Southland Organic Farmstay for a memorable and authentic stay in Southland.
The Google Maps location was a bit inaccurate, leading us down the wrong road momentarily. I definitely recommend this farmstay to anyone visiting Southland for a truly enjoyable and unique experience.

If you're looking for a unique New Zealand experience, this farmstay is the way to go! Located in breathtaking rolling hill farmland, the views are simply stunning. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches. The hosts, Grant and Alison, are warm, welcoming, and full of knowledge about the local area. And let's not forget about the amazing homemade breakfast that Alison prepares with love. Plus, the opportunity to tour the farm and learn about sheep shifting and egg picking is truly special.
One small downside is that the farmstay is a bit of a drive from the nearest town, making it less convenient for exploring other attractions in the area.
